I loved creating all of the special paper details for Alyson and Paul! Collaborating with Alyson, her mother Cindy and wedding planner Eva Clark flowed seamlessly. The overall vision for her paper items was a classic, elegant and chic suite with a few little unique touches to give a true custom feel.
Their calligraphy names flowed across the invitation in the prettiest shiny gold foil paired with a steel blue letterpress ink to match the shade of blue used through the wedding details. Included with the invitation was an rsvp card/envelope, a reception insert card as well as my all time favorite, the hand illustrated wedding map. The map showcased the ceremony venue, reception venue, the recommended hotel for out of town guests and of course the fountain to represent the Marietta Square. Including this map with the wedding suite was not only special because it was where the wedding took place, but it is also where the Bride herself grew up and had many many memories!
For the final touch, we loved the calligraphy monogram so much we created custom wax seals and assembled them on a gorgeous die cut shimmer pearl paper and tied the suite together with the perfect shade of blue silk ribbon. The shimmer paper matched the inner envelope that also had their gold foil monogram and wedding date on the custom die cut flap. What a gorgeous, memorable gift it was for all of their guests to receive!

Jenni and Gregory said "I Do" under the most gorgeous cascading oak trees surrounded by their closest friends and family. Jenni envisioned a simple, yet romantic and elegant wedding day using a classic black, white and gold color palette. One of the first things Jenni mentioned was, " I find joy in the small little details." Right away, I knew we would work together perfectly!
Their wedding suite includes gold foil and black letterpress on a beautiful cotton Crane paper. To keep the insert card in place we tied in her custom illustrated wedding monogram with black silk ribbon. The extra little details DO matter! :) To add a touch of color to the paper suite, the programs included hand painted floral details with black lettering. Now, for my absolute favorite design created for Jenni and Gregory.... the MENU! To compliment the invitation suite, the dinner menu was a full calligraphy design using gold foil on a rich black paper. The contrast between the menus and the soft white linens and floral arrangements was exactly what the tablescapes needed. To add a modern, romantic detail, the guests names were written on small beveled edge mirror using black whimsical calligraphy.
Just a little back story about the Newlyweds... Jenni and Gregory started dating in high school and have been together ever since. Throughout college, they dated long distance and traveled back and forth between Austin, Texas and Boston, Massachusetts. During their long distance traveling through the years, they enjoyed experiencing new places together! To tie in their love of traveling, the seating chart and each dinner table included the names of the places they have gone together. At each place setting, the guests received a mini travel suitcase filled with treats that included a monogram sticker. All of these special details created an intimate and memorable evening for everyone!
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Mark Hewett! Best wishes on your next travel adventure TOGETHER! :)
xoxo, Kara Anne

Designing a couples invitation suite and all of the custom little details for the wedding day is always truly an honor, but when collaborating with a best friend for her big day makes it extra special! Meg and Brian exchanged vows and danced the night away on the evening of February 25, 2017 in Magnolia Springs surrounded by their closest friends and family.
Knowing Meg and Brian's personality and style I knew I wanted to design a classic, elegant invitation suite with a hint of whimsical touches. To tie in Meg's love for antique treasures from her grandparents, I incorporated gold foil accents and an intricately designed wedding monogram. After seeing the navy bridesmaids dresses chosen for their February wedding, I knew a deep navy envelope would make the perfect final touch to wow their guests. It created a gorgeous contrast from the bright white paper and the handwritten gold calligraphy that graced the envelopes.
The invitation design was 5.5x8.5 (A9) and foil printed on a heavy weight cotton paper. The details card was 4.5x4.5 printed on the same paper using a dark navy letterpress ink. For an extra soft, romantic touch, a blush hand-made silk ribbon was used to tie the cards together so that they would stay stacked nicely inside of the envelope.
To tie the wedding program in with their invitation suite, I included navy lettering, custom hand painted watercolor florals and a charming illustration of the Chapel where Meg and Brian exchanged their vows. A soft, hand-made silk ribbon was also tied on the programs.
The custom designed details did not stop with the invitation suite. Throughout the ceremony and reception, there were several signs including, navy and gold beverage and food signs, a welcome sign, direction sign and a little sign for the guests gifts from the bride and groom!
To thank the groomsmen for being a part of their wedding celebration, we had custom Tervis Tumblers made with their wedding logo. This was of course a hit, along with the gold foil napkins and frosted beverage cups.
